Is what you're living for ...

Someone on my friends list on Facebook shared this photo and question. As soon as I saw it, I knew that I wanted to create an art journaling page inspired by it. Really got me thinking this morning.

And with the first day of school around the corner we are finally getting back on track.

I have had an incredible summer with the girls. It has been so busy, so full of happy memories and over so quickly. I can't believe it's over already, feels like it had just begun.

The thing I like about back to school after a summer as busy as our was, is the ability to get back to routines and daily life. I like routine. I like knowing what to expect. I am not a fan of surprises. Getting back on our regular school time schedule I think will cause me to be able to relax a bit more. To be able to settle back into being home and continuing with our average routines will just help create a sense of peace around our home.

Looking forwards to fall with the girls.

Motivation

Made these quick pages tonight trying to get some motivation to do some scrapping. Have been so busy have had hardly any time to create anything all summer, now I feel as if I have nothing driving that creative process. Just have to get back into the habit of creating daily. Have a few challenges I am working on in September to get me motivated once again, and next week we are back to our normal routine so there will be time to nurture that creative process. Can't wait.

Anyways, here's those quickpages:

Getting inked in memory of my Daddy

Ever since my Dad passed away in June 2011 I have wanted to get a tattoo in his honour. I knew I wanted something with angel wings and then I found this image with the angel wings and cancer ribbon attached. I chose to go with the light blue ribbon to represent prostate cancer. Added the words in loving Memory and I was all set.

Miss Emily decided that it would be fun to come along and watch as her momma got her new tattoo. She was so good and so patient. She was also my photographer which is great. So here's some pics of me getting inked in memory of my Daddy.
